What type of application is PowerReport?
PowerReport is an Excel Add-in. Everyone uses Excel, so rather than replicate Excel functionality, we decided to give it some really cool reporting functionality.

What data sources does PowerReport work with?
PowerReport works with any multi dimension or tabular data model. This includes Microsoft SSAS, Microsoft Power Pivot, Microsoft Azure AS, Oracle Essbase, AtScale, and other OLAP databases.
Can PowerReport create reports from Quick Books data?
We can provide a PowerPivot data connector for QuickBooks or QuickBooks Cloud. Once your Quickbooks data is inside PowerPivot, you can use PowerReport to create your reports.
Do I need to learn any new formulas or querying language?
No. Clicks, drags, and drops is all you will need to create your reports.
Can I create a report based on a template?
Yes. That is one of the unique qualities of PowerReports. Start with your existing report template, or download one from the web and connect it with your numbers in no time.
Once I create a report does it automatically refresh?
You can have a report automatically refresh when it opens or you can manually refresh your report.Either way, you will have the latest figures populated in your report within seconds.
Can I share my reports with other people in the organization?
Yes. They just need to download a free reader version of PowerReport. They can also refresh the report if they have grants to the underlying data.
Can I still use other Excel functions in a PowerReport?
Yes. All PowerReport functions are compatible with other Excel functions.
How is PowerReport different than Power BI?
Power BI is a visualization and dashboarding tool while PowerReport is a financial reporting automation tool. Once you see the types of reports PowerReport can produce, the difference will be clear.
Do you offer training?
Yes. We have developed short tutorial videos to help you get started. Based on customers feedback, the best way to learn how to use PowerReport is by creating reports. Once you have completed a few, you will be an expert. Our support team is always ready to help you out too.
